Ballet Soleil is entering its seventh year in Williamsburg, Massachusetts.
Ballet Soleil was founded and designed by Kelly Torza as a quality dance school featuring classes in classical ballet, jazz technique, and creative dance in a beautiful rural setting. Classes are constructed to appeal to boys and girls of all ages. Students can expect to learn the fundamentals of dance technique as well as classroom etiquette, self discipline, art appreciation, and, of course, the pure enjoyment of dance.
Kelly Torza began her training at the Northern Connecticut Ballet in Windsor, CT. There she performed in many traditional ballets such as Nutcracker, Paquita, Les Sylphides, and Napoli, as well as many newer works choreographed by the Artistic Director. She danced professionally in an off Broadway production of Phantom of the Opera in the role of Yvette. She continued her training at Hartford Ballet and then the Harford Camerata Conservatory where she received certification in Dance Pedagogy. She has been teaching locally for seventeen years.
Juniper Talbot received her Master's degree in dance from SUNY Brockport in 1989, and has been teaching and performing professionally
ever since.
Most notably she danced with the Jose Limon Company and has presented her own modern dance based choreography widely throughout the US and
abroad. She has received many state and local grants to teach and present her choreography in both MA and New York. In 2002, Juniper was
chosen as one of four modern dance choreographers in the Northeast region to present her choreography at the Northeast Festival of Ideas
held in Hartford, CT.
Juniper has taught dance and creative movement to pre-schoolers through adults in many venues including schools, universities, dance studios
and her own summer dance and nature camps for over 20 years.
